Marine licensing guidance
These documents are a series of guidance documents that explain our licensing procedures. The documents set out our current policies and supersede previous practice and guidance.
We are responsible for licensing of activities related to construction, deposition or removal of any substance or object in English territorial waters and for such activities where they are undertaken outside of UK Territorial Waters. We arenot responsible for oil and gas projects for which the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) are responsible.
