Norwegian waters

Some UK vessels fishing in Norwegian waters south of 62 degrees north have experienced tighter enforcement by the Norwegian authorities in 2009.

Fisheries administrations have been in contact with the Norwegians to assess what additional means we can employ to demonstrate that UK vessels are fishing in compliance with quotas in place for these areas.

A new weekly workbook has been included with the circulation to the Area IV and VI spreadsheet. Its purpose is to satisfy the requirements which the Norwegian authorities have set for UK vessels (and other EU vessels) fishing in Norwegian waters south of 62 degrees north and sets out the access to quota which vessels have while fishing there.

The workbook contains three worksheets, available separately in PDF format or in a single Excel spreadsheet.
