We work primarily in English waters carrying out a range of different functions. We also work closely with devolved administrations and carry out work in their waters on their behalf.
- Marine planning
- Marine licensing, wildlife licensing and enforcement
- Marine conservation byelaws
- Fisheries management (including quota management and vessel licensing)
- Fisheries monitoring and enforcement (including area closures, administrative penalties, registered buyers and sellers, and electronic recording systems)
- Satellite monitoring
- European fisheries funding (including European Fisheries Fund, EU Aid)
- Approval to use products in a marine emergency
